Valentine’s Day is just a few days away and these Heart Candy Valentine Bags are easy and fun to make.
These little bags filled with heart candy are sure to please everyone on your gift list. A great idea for school valentine parties and exchanges too. These Heart Candy Valentine Bags are perfect for teach gifts! So let’s get started.
Supplies to make the Heart Candy Valentine Bags:
- Wilton® Candy Melts – Bright Pink, White
- Heart Candy Mold
- Microwavable Bowl
- Cello Bags – Food Safe
- Pink Baker’s Twine
- Heart Stickers – Red, Pink
Place candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl and heat in the microwave at 50% power for 1 minute. Remove and stir candy melts. They may look like they are not melting, that’s ok, still stir, as you start stirring they will start to break down. Place in microwave and heat for 1 minute at 50% power. Pause the heating at about 30 seconds and stir. Resume heating. Remove and stir melts.
Once all the hearts have been filled, lightly tap the mold onto working surface. This will help eliminate any bubbles. I used a toothpick to help pop any bubbles that surfaced.
Turn the mold over and gently tap the back of the mold. Because I was using a plastic mold I could not twist the mold. When you are using silicone molds, you just twist the molds to remove the candy. Repeat the entire process until you have the desired amount of candies needed for your project.
Fill a cello bag with pink and white hearts. Use the pink bakers twine to tie the bags closed. You may add a Pink Valentine Tag to each bag. To see the full tutorial to make the Pink Valentine Tag, please see my blog post on the Clearsnap® blog.
These bags are so cute! Everyone will want one. This project is easily customized to any occasion or holiday, by changing the theme of the candy and colors. Who will you make these Heart Candy Valentine Bags for?
