Do you love the look of filigree wrapped stones, but don’t have the time to wrap each stone? These Filigree Wrap Earrings are completed without bending any filigree. I made these earrings using vintage stones a little glue.
Brass Filigree Tri-Angle (2)
Filigree Ball Earwires (2)
Vintage Stone (2)
Round nose pliers
Instructions to make these Filigree Wrap Earrings:
1. Use a vintage stone that fits into the tri-angle brass filigree. Here I used diamond shaped stones.
2. Add glue to the area of the stone that will be covered by the filigree. Glue stone in place and allow to dry.
3. Open the ring on the earwire and add the top loop of the filigree tri-angle. Close ring.
4. Repeat steps 2 & 3 for second earring.
Using this simple faux wrap method is a great way to use those odd size stones that you may have laying around. These diamond shaped stones that I have work perfectly in these filigree pieces. Large size pear shaped stones work well in these tri-angles also. What vintage stones do you have that could be made using these tri-angle filigrees?
