This Valentine Heart Card is perfect as a last minute project.
Need an extra card for Valentine’s Day? No problem, you can create this Valentine Heart Card with a few easy steps using ColorBox® Creative Cards. I am not an avid card maker, so using these Creative Cards is perfect for someone like me. I can create a handmade card that looked like I spent hours making it, without all the fuss. Let’s see how easy it really is.
- ColorBox® Creative Card – Loved
- ColorBox® Teresa Collins Ink – Passion Pink, Fiesty Red
- ColorBox® Pearl Rain Spray – Cosmic
- Emboss Gloss®
- Mix’d Media Ink™ Embossing Powder – Chiffon
- ColorBox® Art Dauber
- Color Catcher®
- Stamps: I Love You, Love
- Embossing Gun
How to create the Valentine Heart Card:
For this next step use a Color Catcher®, if you do not have one you may spray the card inside of a cardboard box. Place the card inside of the color catcher and spray a light mist of Pearl Rain onto the front of the card. The further you hold the bottle of pearl rain away from the card the lighter of a mist you will have on the card. Use an embossing gun to dry the pearl rain. As it starts drying you will see the cosmic color appear.
Trace the heart on the card using Emboss Gloss® wand. Pour the Chiffon embossing powder over the emboss gloss and then turn card upside down to remove any excess powder. Heat the embossing powder until it melts. Repeat this step until you have several hearts embossed.
Stamp “I Love You” inside the large heart on the card using Teresa Collins Fiesty Red ink. Stamp the “Love” stamp onto several of the other smaller hearts.
That’s it! Your Valentine Card is finished. This project is so quick and easy, not to mention fun to make. I am in love with the Creative Cards by ColorBox®. They allow me to create a handmade card even though I am a jewelry artist. I have two of their card designs and I think I need more!
