Hello to everyone, hope your December is stupendous and are feeling the Christmas spirit and surrounded by much love and light.
I am a self-proclaimed MESSY crafter, but only when I am actually creating. When its all done, I cannot start another project with a full clean up and reset of everything. I was creating some dimensional holiday themed Artist Trading Cards for a current swap and after I was done using the molding paste on the stencil, I just was not sure what to do from there. So I pulled out some creamy metallic lustre and rubbed over the entire card and letters. The letters got lost in the creation, so I used a baby wipe to wipe off the color on the letters and top star.
That was better, it showed more, but no more color, either. Then it popped into my head, let’s use Colorique, with its strong pigmented color it should highlight the letters just perfect. Well, guess what? It worked better than I could imagine. The letters popped out against the background and I only needed about 1/2 a drop of each color. It goes such a long way!
I painted each set of letters with different colors.
I added a little white pen work on the star to give it a bit more pizazz. All the colors blended so amazingly well on the final cards that I made a set of three to swap with others all over the world.
Thank you for stopping by, hope to see you making some fun Artist Trading Cards soon and share with us!
