It is that time again for the annual Creativation Show (formerly the CHA Mega Show) which will be held in Phoenix Arizona this year. Last year was my first time attending the show as a designer and it was overwhelming. There are rows and rows and booth after booth filled with all the crafting supplies and tools you could ever imagine.
Last year I attended the show with my bestie Roberta Birnbaum and we had so much fun. She flew in to Los Angeles from Canada and to surprise her I made a sign that I held up with all the rest of the “official” hired limo drivers that said, “Welcome Ms. Crafty Roberta”. This year we have different schedules, but we are still taking the show by storm!
I was able to meet so many of my facebook designer friends like Jennifer Priest and Jonathan Fong, and meet many new people. This year I look forward to seeing everyone again and making many more new connections.
This cute camper favor holder is just one of the many fun & creative “make n takes”, that were offered by manufactures/designers last year. Cheryl Boglioli was the teacher for this M & T and it was so fun!! I can’t wait to see what I will be making this year.
The show is so big, it is really impossible to do the entire show in one day. Thankfully I will be there for a few days, so I can take it all in. A couple of the categories that I am looking forward to seeing the newest products of are Jewelry Making and Planners! Yes, I know I am a jewelry artist, but I have become a planner addict and I don’t know which one I want to look at first!! My planner has to go with me on this trip to keep me organized with all my meetings and dinners.
If you are attending the show for the first time here are a couple of things I found helpful:
- Comfortable shoes. This is a must!!
- Water bottles
- Snacks for energy
- Small rolling bag
- Notebook, pencil/pen
- Planner (date calendar)
- Business Cards
- Cell phone charger/portable charger
- Hard copies of your reservations/Badge (sometimes technology does not work!)
I hope to see you there at the show. For those of you who want to see what it is all about from home, please follow my Facebook and Instagram accounts, as I will be posting as much as I can.
